Any questions?
January 27th, 2009F. Scott Fitzgerald was into Zelda before video games even existed. … Terrible joke.
I think it has been a while since I requested reader questions, so now seems like a good time. I definitely intend for this blog to be as educational and completely useful to you as it is to me. Probably more so.
So, do you have any questions?
Maybe they are mundane, maybe they deal with complex Photoshop or lighting issues. Maybe you just want to know the best way to hold a camera. (Left hand under — kinda cupping — your lens, right elbow held into your body. Legs spread apart a bit, and your right hand obviously gripping and firing.) Anything is game, and nothing is a stupid question!
Also, my next entry here will mark my 100th. I would have been here much sooner if it weren’t for the insanity of the last couple of months, but here I am! I’m trying to think of something special to do for it, even though it’s not a huge milestone or anything. (Or is it?)
Anyway, I fully intend to update this on a regular basis, like when I started this. Maybe not daily, but very close. Also, do you like the new jumps? I think I do, but I want you to let me know if you think they are annoying, or a welcome sight. Regardless, you can look forward to more changes and especially plenty of new posts.
Also, this is the least content I hope to post after a jump ever. I want there to be substance if I’m going to knock something to a second page.
Thank you so much for reading, and for your feedback. Any comments make this an especially rewarding and fun experience.

It’s good to see you are back to the saddle and posting again.
I’d like to know what your workflow looks like in Photoshop.
e.g. Sharpening, Noise Reduction, Spot removal/cloning, and I already know how you feel about crops.
I’d also like to see you edit sometime.
I guess I can wait.
It’s not like you will be Tyler anytime soon…

Ok, I’ll work on a post for that. I was just thinking about sharing something about color correction. I might just take that one step further.
And yeah, it could be years … ha ha
But I can definitely show off some editing.

It would be neat to hear your take on color correction.
I shoot everything with autowhite balance and correct with the dropper in Lightroom.
Sometimes I’m not happy with the auto correction and tweak it a tad, but for the most part it’s just auto corrected with the dropper.

I’ll do both, then. It might take a day or two, but I think I’ll get it all done within a week. Yeah, I usually manually correct the white balance I get, even though I do almost always shoot auto.
I might get that posted on a Friday so it’ll be up for a whole weekend. I think that’s a post that has some staying power.
Anyway, thanks!
